This is so on point. I saw Rental Family. Because I have spent time in Japan, there were many things about it that made me laugh. But, the overall meaning of the practice of these rental (masking) experiences was sad. I mentioned it to a grocery store clerk I know who spends a lot of time in Japan and he said it was a common practice. ... I love your description of the layering and the aspect of the ink changing the surface chemically over time. There is much to contemplate from this posting, Bruce. I will revisit it. Thank you for writing it.

I've followed your work for some time. I appreciate knowing how you create your paintings, which I find beautiful. I have one of your prints, "Nativity," which I purchased through the now-defunct CIVA.
